Carve Your Niche

 

SIMCatalyst Journalism - Carve your niche is here! SIMCatalyst - Carve your niche is a niche magazine pitch competition where the students were given an opportunity to test their skills on their ideas on content creation, relevance and launch plans.

SIMCatalyst is an initiative by the Corporate Interface Team of Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication that gives every student the opportunity to interact with the industry. The main objective is to provide a platform for budding media professionals and the current industry to interact and build quality relationships.
This year SIMCatalyst held “Carve your Niche” on September 14th 2012.  In this competition, students were given an opportunity to test their skills on their ideas on content creation and launch plans. It is very important for the students to understand the industry and events like SIMCatalyst serve the purpose.
The judges of the event were eminent personalities like Siddharth Parwatay, Features Editor, Digit Magazine, Ritu Goyal  Harish, Journalist, DNA, and Sarmad Kadiri, Assistant Editor, BIKE India & CAR India Magazine.

The four teams that made it to the Finals and presented their ideas were the following:

After SIMCatalyst, SIMClairvoyance commenced, wherein the judges of SIMCatalyst spoke about their experience in the industry.  The winners (Team 2), were awarded at the end of the function.
